This adorable little villa is perched on the edge of a tidal river full of nature! There are mangroves, kingfishers, basilisk lizards, howler monkeys, armadillos and more. This special place is close to everything in Samara. It is only a 3 minute walk from the beach or the center of town. Every rental includes IONA Coffee, hand roasted on site from the mountains above our little town. And it gets even better! Every rental helps us support community building projects in Samara. Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed for almost a month and we would highly recommend this place. The apartment has comfy beds, a great shower inside and outside, a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning. There is a nice little creek outside, plenty of tall trees and beautiful wildlife (birds, lizards and monkeys). Ben and Erika were excellent hosts, always happy to help and were so generous during their stay. The apartment is connected to the Iona community project which provides social services, as well as a coffee social enterprise (with excellent coffee!). Samara is a lovely town. We surfed every day (it's best near high tide) and the wave is good for beginners in close to shore, with some bigger sets rolling in if you are more experienced. Three major grocery stores are on the street with eveything you need, a pharmacy, and plenty of excellent restaurants. Highly recommended!

Bel espace de vie à distance de marche de la plage et de la vie nocturne de Samara !!!! Petit réveil inusité à cause des singes qui aiment bien manger des mangues juste à côté. On était très bien !!!

We had a great stay . The Casita was perfect for our family of 4. Great location, walkable to the beach & restaurants. Ben was super helpful and even had boogie boards for the kids to use. Iona Coffee roaster/cafe on site was an added bonus! Would highly recommend.

To say we had the most perfect stay is an understatement. It was beyond our wildest dreams!
The casita is miraculously situated in the jungle, yet walking distance to every single amenity you could imagine. Every morning was stunning and we were greeted by animal calls, adventure and beauty! It felt too good to be true!
The casita is incredibly sweet, perfect for our family of four to enjoy and relax. There were so many special details and it was immaculate while still feeling like our very own home away from home! Such a comfort after some very fun days in the sun!
Now, for the part that truly made us say ‘wow,’ - our host, Ben, is the most amazing host ever! And truly one of the best people. His warmth and kindness was completely out of this world and won’t soon be forgotten. We left with tears in our eyes because we had met such a wonderful human and friend!
This was truly the most memorable vacation with the most amazing Airbnb. We will be forever dreaming about our stay.

We had the most incredible time at the IONA Villa. Our family (my spouse, our 3-year-old son, and I) absolutely loved it! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and right at home. The villa is beautifully designed, spotless, and has such a peaceful, natural vibe that made our stay truly special.
The outdoor space (front and back) was perfect for our little one to explore and play. Ben saw monkeys in the trees on the property and made sure we saw them too!
The check-in was seamless, communication was quick and friendly, and everything in the listing was exactly as described, if not better! We especially enjoyed the location, just outside of the center of town, with a 5 min walk to the beach.
This place is perfect for families or anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature. We can’t wait to come back!
